Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how BGA Beauty LLC collects, uses, stores and protects information when you visit our website, send us a message, place a commission or visit the studio. The website and the studio work are operated by BGA Beauty under the legal entity BGA Beauty LLC, located at 233 N Redwood Rd APT 424, Salt Lake City - 84116-3926, United States (US). This document describes the practices of the developer and operator named BGA Beauty, and it applies to every page, form and conversation connected to the studio.
We run a small hand strung jewelry business. We are not a data broker, we do not sell jewelry customer lists, and we do not operate an advertising network. The information we hold exists for one reason, which is to make and deliver jewelry, to answer questions, and to keep a record of the work so that a piece can be repaired years later. We have written this policy in plain English because we believe that privacy terms should be readable by the person they are meant to protect.
By using this website or contacting the studio, you accept the practices described here. If you do not accept them, please do not submit information through the site. You may still visit the public pages, which do not require an account and do not ask you to identify yourself.

1. Scope of this policy
This policy covers the website at bgabeauty.mom and every page published under that domain, including the home page, the services page, the contact page and this legal page. It also covers information you give us in person at the studio, over the telephone, by email, by post or through a messaging service that we use to coordinate an order.
This policy does not cover websites operated by other companies, even when we link to them. If you follow a link from our site to a supplier, a mapping service or a payment page, the privacy policy of that company applies to what happens there. We encourage you to read those policies before you share information with them.
The studio is located in Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States. Our practices are designed to comply with the laws that apply to us in the United States, and with the reasonable expectations of customers who contact us from other countries. Where local law gives you additional rights, this policy does not remove them.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us directly
The contact form on this site asks for a name, an email address, a subject line and a message. That form is a helper rather than a server side collection point. When you press the send button, the form prepares an email in your own mail application and nothing is transmitted to or stored on this website. The message reaches us only when you send it from your own email account.
When you place a commission, we may record your name, postal address, telephone number, email address and the details of the piece you have asked us to make. Those details can include a neck or wrist measurement, a photograph of a dress or a color reference, the names and dates connected to a bridal order, and any instruction about allergic reactions or metal sensitivity. We record only what is needed to make the piece fit the person who will wear it.
For repairs, we may hold a description of the fault, a photograph of the piece before work begins and after it is finished, and a note naming the thread, clasp and bead size used. These records are the reason a bracelet can be rebuilt years later without relying on memory.
Information collected automatically
Most web hosts keep a basic access log that records the date and time of a request, the page requested, the browser type and a shortened form of the network address. These logs are used to keep the site running, to diagnose errors and to protect against abuse. We do not use them to build a profile of individual visitors, and we do not combine them with order information.
Information from social messaging
Some customers prefer to send photographs through a messaging application. If you contact the studio that way, we receive whatever you choose to send, including your display name and the content of the message. We save only the parts needed for the order, and we do not add you to any marketing list.
Information we do not collect
We do not ask for a social security number, a driver license number, a bank account password or any government identity document. We do not collect biometric data, precise location data or health records. If a customer volunteers medical information such as a metal allergy, we treat it as sensitive and use it only to select safe materials.
3. How we obtain information
Nearly all of the information we hold comes directly from you. You type it into an email, speak it during an appointment, write it on a work order or hand us a piece of paper with a measurement. A small amount comes from the technical logs described above, which are created automatically when a browser requests a page.
We may receive a referral from a family member who is arranging a gift. In that case the person giving the gift provides the recipient name and measurement, and we treat that information with the same care. If you are the recipient of such a gift and you would rather we did not keep your details, you can ask us to delete them and we will do so unless we have a legal reason to keep them.
We do not buy mailing lists, we do not rent contact data from other companies, and we do not enrich our records with information from advertising platforms. The studio records are built from the counter and from correspondence, and they stay that way.
4. Why we use information
We use personal information for a short list of purposes. First, to answer your message and discuss a project. Second, to plan, make, repair and deliver jewelry that fits you. Third, to keep a construction record so a piece can be serviced in future. Fourth, to arrange a fitting or an appointment. Fifth, to process a payment and keep the accounting records that the law requires. Sixth, to protect the studio against fraud, chargebacks and misuse of the site.
We also use order information in aggregate to understand which services are busy and which materials need restocking. A count of repairs in a season helps us buy thread in sensible quantities. This aggregate view does not identify any individual customer, and it is never sold.
We do not use your information to send promotional email unless you have asked to receive it. If you do ask, every message includes a clear way to stop, and stopping is immediate. We will never require you to accept marketing as a condition of buying jewelry.
We do not use automated decision making to evaluate customers, and we do not use profiling to set individual prices. Two customers who order the same strand are quoted from the same bench calculation.
5. Legal bases for processing
Where a law requires us to identify a legal basis for handling personal information, we rely on the following grounds. We process information to perform a contract when we make or repair a piece you have ordered. We process information on the basis of your consent when you ask to receive studio news or when you volunteer sensitive details such as an allergy. We process information to comply with a legal obligation when we keep tax and accounting records. We process information for our legitimate interests when we keep the site secure, prevent fraud and maintain construction records that allow us to stand behind our work.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect work that has already been done, and it does not stop us from keeping records we are required by law to hold. If you withdraw consent for a repair record, we explain what we must keep and what we can delete.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we balance our need against your rights. The studio is small, the records are limited, and we do not use them in ways that would surprise a reasonable customer. If you object to a particular use, write to us and we will review it honestly.
8. Payment information
Payment for a commission may be made in person at the studio, by a card terminal or through a payment link supplied by a regulated payment processor. We do not store full card numbers, security codes or bank credentials on this website, and this website has no checkout page.
When a payment processor handles a transaction, it receives the card details, the amount and a short description of the order. The processor is responsible for the security of those details under its own policy and its own regulatory obligations. We receive a confirmation that the payment succeeded, a reference number and the last few digits of the card so that a refund can be matched to the right transaction.
The studio keeps sales records that include the order description, the amount and the date. These records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting rules. They do not include the full card number.
If a refund is due, we issue it to the original payment method where possible. A refund may require the transaction reference, which is why we keep the payment confirmation alongside the work order.
9. How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as we need it. A general question that does not become an order is usually deleted within twelve months of the last message. An order record, including the construction notes, is kept for as long as we continue to service the piece, which is often many years, because the record is what allows a future repair to match the original design.
Accounting and tax records are kept for the period required by applicable law, which is generally measured in years rather than months. Payment confirmations are kept for the same period so that a refund or a dispute can be handled.
When a record is no longer needed and no legal obligation requires us to keep it, we delete it or destroy the paper copy. Digital records are removed from the working system, and backup copies expire on their normal cycle. Photographs of a finished piece may be kept with the construction note because they serve as a reference for repairs, but we remove identifying details when the photograph is not needed for the work.
You may ask us to delete information sooner. We will do so unless a legal obligation, a pending dispute or the need to honor a warranty requires us to keep it. If we must keep something, we explain why and for how long.
10. How we protect information
The studio is small enough that information is handled by a limited number of people. Paper work orders are kept in a locked cabinet. Digital records are held in accounts protected by a strong password and a second verification step where the service supports it. Devices used at the bench are kept updated and are locked when not in use.
Access is limited to the people who need it to do the work. An assistant who restrings beads does not need a customer payment history, and a person who arranges a delivery does not need a design sketch. We follow that principle in practice rather than only on paper.
No system is perfectly secure. If a security incident affects your information, we will notify you without undue delay when the incident creates a risk to your rights, and we will describe what happened, what we have done and what you can do. We also notify the relevant authorities where the law requires it.
If you receive a message that claims to be from the studio and asks for a password, a card number or a payment to an unfamiliar account, please do not reply. Contact us at the email address and telephone number published on this site and we will confirm whether the message is genuine.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to receive a copy of it, to correct information that is wrong, to delete information that we no longer need, to restrict how we use it, and to object to a particular use. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising a privacy right.
To make a request, write to beauty@bgabeauty.mom or send a letter to BGA Beauty LLC at 233 N Redwood Rd APT 424, Salt Lake City - 84116-3926, United States (US). Please describe what you want us to do and include enough detail for us to find your record, such as the name used on the order and an approximate date. We may ask for a small amount of additional information to verify that the request comes from you. We will not use the verification step to collect more than necessary.
We respond within the time required by applicable law, and in most cases within thirty days. If a request is complex, we will tell you why and give a new date. There is no charge for a first request, though we may charge a reasonable fee for repeated or excessive requests where the law allows it.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to complain to a privacy regulator in your region. We ask that you contact us first so that we have a chance to resolve the matter directly.
Your choices about marketing
You can opt out of studio news at any time by using the unsubscribe link in a message or by writing to us. Opting out of marketing does not affect messages about an active order, a repair or a fitting, because those messages are part of the service you requested.
12. Privacy for children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under the age of thirteen. If a parent or guardian sends us an order for a young person, we keep only the measurement and the delivery detail needed to complete that order, and we do not open a marketing relationship with the young person.
If you believe that a child has sent us personal information without the consent of a parent or guardian, please contact us and we will delete the information promptly. If we learn that we have collected information from a child in a way that is not permitted, we will remove it and confirm the removal to the person who reported it.
Some of our pieces are designed for young wearers, but the ordering conversation happens with an adult. We do not run contests, chat rooms or social features for children on this site.
13. Links to other websites
Our pages may include a link to a mapping service, a supplier, a payment page or a shipping tracker. These links are provided for convenience. When you follow one, you leave our site and the privacy policy of the destination applies. We do not control those sites and we cannot promise how they handle information.
We choose links carefully and prefer services with clear privacy terms, but a link is not an endorsement of every practice on the destination page. If you notice a link that seems inappropriate or broken, please tell us so we can review it.
No third party social plugin is embedded in our pages. If that changes, we will name the provider and explain the effect before it is added.
14. International visitors
The studio is based in the United States, and information is processed on equipment located in the United States. If you contact us from another country, your information will be transferred to the United States, where privacy law may differ from the law in your region. We take reasonable steps to protect the information in transit and at rest, and we apply this policy to every customer regardless of location.
Where a transfer requires a specific safeguard, we rely on the contractual protections offered by our service providers and on the limited nature of the data we collect. We do not transfer payment card details ourselves, because those are handled directly by the payment processor.
Customers outside the United States should be aware that a request to delete information may be limited by our need to keep construction records for the life of a piece that we continue to service, and by tax and accounting rules. We will always explain the limit rather than ignore the request.
15. Changes to this policy
We review this policy at least once a year and whenever the studio changes the way it handles information. When a change is material, we update the effective date at the top of the page and, where we have an email address for you and the change affects an active relationship, we send a short notice describing what changed.
Minor changes, such as a correction to a telephone number or a clarification of wording, may be made without a separate notice. The current version is always the one published on this page, and it replaces earlier versions from the date shown at the top.
If a change would allow a new use of information that you would not reasonably expect, we will ask for consent before that use begins rather than assume it from continued browsing.
16. How to contact us
Questions about this policy, requests to access or delete information, and complaints can be sent to the studio. Please use the address below and include a clear description of the matter so that it reaches the right person quickly.

We answer privacy messages within one business day when possible, and we never use a privacy request as a reason to close an active repair or cancel a fitting. The jewelry work and the privacy work are handled by the same small studio, and both receive the same attention to detail.
